“The Scientific Notes. The XXII Issue” of Tuvan Institute for Research in the Humanities under the Government of the Republic of Tuva was added into the list of new publications on Tuvan studies. The first article is by the director of the institute Bicheldey Kaadyr-ool. It covers the prospects of research in the field of the humanities in Tuva. In the first section of the issue there are proceedings of the republican conference that was dedicated to the 65th anniversary of Tuva’s affiliation to the USSR.
The second section of “The Scientific Notes” considers new studies in the context of archeology and history. Some aspects of ethnological and culturological research of contemporary Tuvan studies are presented. The articles on Tuvan literature and Tuvan linguistics are introduced in the section “Philology”. Traditionally, there is section “Proceedings and Announcements”, including “Information Technologies and Problems of Tuvan Studies Development” by Chimiza Lamazhaa. This item presents some results of the work of the editorial board of “The New Research of Tuva” magazine. The last sections deal with “portraits of scientists” and heroes of anniversaries of 2009 and 2010. The issue contains results of research on the problems of archaeology, history, ethnography, philology and culture of Tuva. The authors are among the leading scientists of the TIRH and other scientific institutions.
